My concentration aims to capture nature living in the modern world. It highlights how the complex yet rapid development of human civilization and technology has reshaped the methods and purpose of nature. I plan to explore this idea by capturing how humans use nature as a force of good and evil and how nature attempts to survive within the modern world filled with unnatural human creations.

reflection

  • my idea was to capture how humans have created items that serve an exact function as items that nature provided, questioning the purpose of said man-made items

 

  • i used a canon camera, lightroom, canned food, my own labels, and veg

 

  • i focused on texture within this project, getting up close to the subject and using tools on photoshop to bring out the contrasting textures of the cans and vegetables. this was important because it highlights the natural, random details found in nature compared to the harsh, forced patterns found in man-made objects
